Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-24
This Privacy Policy explains how AIGenTools ("we", "us") handles information when you visit aigentools.io or use any AIGenTools product (the "Service"). It covers the account and billing data you would expect, plus the inputs and outputs you generate with our AI tools.
By using the Service you agree to these practices. If you disagree with any part, stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account.
1. Who This Applies To
This policy applies to everyone who interacts with AIGenTools — registered users, visitors, and people who contact us by email. Some sections only apply once you create an account (billing, AI inputs, retention); where that is the case, we say so.
AIGenTools is operated as a global online service. Residents of jurisdictions with additional rights (for example the EU, UK, and California) have those rights on top of what is below — see Section 8.
2. What We Collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password, or a unique identifier from a third-party login provider if you use one. If you set a display name or profile picture, we store those too.
Billing information. Our payment processor collects your card details directly — we never see or store your full card number. We receive and retain a transaction reference, amount charged, plan, and billing country so we can issue receipts and handle refunds.
AI inputs and outputs. When you use our AI tools we process whatever you type, paste, or upload (text, images, PDFs, code files, audio) and the output the model returns. These are tied to your account so you can see history, reuse results, and request deletion. Section 3 covers how we treat this content.
Support and communication. If you email us, use the contact form, or chat through our in-app support widget, we keep a record of the conversation and any attachments.
Automatically collected data. Your browser sends the usual technical data — IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, timestamps. We use privacy-friendly analytics services to measure traffic and performance; they aggregate this data and do not build cross-site advertising profiles of you.
Cookies. A small number of first-party cookies for session authentication and preferences, plus analytics cookies where permitted. See our Cookie Policy.
3. How We Handle Your AI Content
We treat AI prompts and outputs as your content, with these commitments:
- No AIGenTools model training on your inputs or outputs. AIGenTools does not train its own models on your prompts, uploads, or outputs.
- Model providers process requests when needed. To generate a result, requests are processed by the model providers needed for that tool. Their handling of API data is governed by their own terms.
- Uploaded files stay in your account. Photos, PDFs, and other uploads are stored against your account so you can re-access them. You can delete individual files, conversations, or your full history from settings.
- Generated results stay in your account until you delete them. Deleting a result or an account removes it from the system without a backup copy, except for records we must keep by law (Section 6).
4. Why We Use It
- Running the Service — creating your account, authenticating you, applying your plan, charging credits, delivering outputs, saving history.
- Billing and fraud prevention — processing payments, preventing fraud, chargebacks, and abuse of free credits.
- Product improvement — understanding which tools are used, where users get stuck, and which errors happen most often.
- Customer support — responding to your messages and troubleshooting problems you report.
- Legal compliance — records we are legally required to keep (for example, tax records on payments) and responding to lawful requests.
- Safety — detecting and blocking content that violates our Terms of Service.
- Marketing (only if you opt in) — we do not auto-enrol new users. Product updates, newsletters, and promos go only to users who explicitly opted in, with one-click unsubscribe.
If you are in the EU or UK, our legal bases are: (a) performance of our contract with you; (b) our legitimate interests in fraud prevention, security, and product analytics; (c) your consent, for optional cookies and marketing; (d) legal obligations, where required.
5. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers for advertising purposes. We share only:
- Service providers — a small set of vendors who process data on our behalf under written agreements that restrict their use to running the Service for us. Categories include our hosting and storage providers, payment processor, email delivery provider, support chat provider, analytics services, referral/affiliate tracking provider, and the third-party AI model providers that power our tools.
- Third-party login providers, if you use them — we receive the information you authorize (typically email, display name, unique identifier) so we can recognise your account.
- Legal and safety disclosures — where legally required (valid court order, subpoena) or where we believe in good faith disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, our users, the public, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
- Business transfers — if AIGenTools is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred; we will notify you before a different privacy policy takes effect.
- With your consent — any other sharing requires your explicit opt-in.
6. How Long We Keep It
- Active account data (profile, preferences, AI history, saved files) — as long as your account is open.
- Billing and tax records — as long as applicable tax and accounting laws require, even after you close the account.
- Server and security logs — a rolling window, generally no more than 90 days, unless needed longer for a specific investigation.
- Support conversations — a reasonable period to help with repeat issues and improve support quality.
Account deletion. You can delete your account from settings or by emailing us. Active-service data (profile, AI history, saved files, support conversations) is deleted or anonymized. We do not keep a backup copy of deleted account content. Legally required data (for example, invoice records) is retained for the required period and then deleted.
Deleting specific content. You do not need to delete the whole account — individual conversations, files, images, or videos can be removed from the library. Deleted content is removed from the system without a backup copy, except for records we must keep by law.
7. Security and Global Operation
We use industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encryption of data at rest, hashed passwords, access controls on production systems, and audit logs on sensitive operations. Our infrastructure providers run globally distributed systems with standard datacenter security and compliance certifications. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and, where required, regulators within the timeframes set by applicable law.
AIGenTools is a global service, so your data may be processed in countries outside the one you live in. Where the law requires it, we put in place appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) with our providers.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights over your personal data:
- Access — a copy of what we hold about you.
- Correction — fixing inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — asking us to delete your data (subject to data we must keep by law).
- Restriction — pausing processing in certain cases.
- Objection — objecting to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Portability — receiving your data in a common, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, at any time (without affecting processing that was lawful before).
To exercise any right, email feedback@aigentools.io from the address on your account. We respond within the timeframes set by applicable law (generally 30 days). EU/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with a local data protection authority; we'd appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
California residents. Under CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. Cookies and Tracking
We use first-party cookies for session authentication and preferences, and analytics services to measure traffic. We do not run advertising cookies or cross-site ad profiles. Full details: Cookie Policy.
10. Children
AIGenTools is not intended for children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it. Users between 16 and the age of majority should only use the Service with a parent or legal guardian's agreement, as described in our Terms.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the Service or the law evolves. For material changes — a new category of processing, or a change in how long we keep data — we will give at least 14 days' advance notice by email or in-app. Minor clarifications are posted here with an updated date at the top.
12. Contact
Questions, rights requests, or privacy concerns — email feedback@aigentools.io.
